United Way of Southwestern PA named Charlie Batch to its board for three-year terms.

100 Kids Gather At Heinz Field For Build-A-Bike Day

Among the recipients are youngsters with “Best of the Batch,” a non-profit started by ex-Steeler Charlie Batch.  

Batch’s wife Latasha is president of the Best of the Batch foundation. “The kids that we brought here today, they don’t have bikes,” she said. “And we have a bike rack, and they’ll be able to use it.”

500 K-5 students given the opportunity to load up on school supplies

Back 2 School Store hosted by the National Council of Jewish Women, Pittsburgh Section. Partner agencies such as Best of the Batch Foundation helped connect families with the cause.

Painting with a Twist

July Painting with a Purpose will take place on Saturday July 23rd at 4:00 pm. We will be partnering with the Best of the Batch Foundation and the Will Allen Foundation

Wine, Women & Shoes luncheon hel at the Fairmont Pittsburgh

Wine, Women & Shoes,” there was no way this inaugural event to benefit The Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh. Event chairs Latasha Wilson Batch, Laura Kronk, Dee Dee Troutman, Lisa Baydos, Melissa Dellovade and Debi Wheeler were thrilled with the turnout.

Killer Heels event held at The Frick Pittsburgh

Guests weren’t just gushing over the shoe collection, many were wearing their own remarkable footwear. Standouts included Latasha Wilson Batch’s Rachel Roy spiked leopard print stilettos.  Check out the video to hear Tasha's reaction to the exhibit.

Former Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch and his wife, Latasha, are again leading the Panera Pup Walk at the Waterfront in Homestead on June 12. 


YWCA hosts tribute to women leaders at Westin Convention Center

Each year this prestigious luncheon honors seven local women for their contributions in leadership. Including our friend, Yasmin Shaheed, chief administrative officer, Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh. SEEN: Charlie and Latasha Wilson-Batch.

Nellie Leadership Awards Gala 

More than 180 guests arrived to support Three Rivers Youth.  Serving youth and family since 1880, Three Rivers Youth works to unite families, combat homelessness, enhance educational opportunities and build life skills for at-risk youth.  SEEN:  Charlie and Latasha Wilson-Batch.

Spring Hat Luncheon held at Frick Park 

A sold-out crowd of 600 guests are mixing and mingling in the gorgeous weather, including Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy president and CEO Meg Cheever, Charlie and Latasha Wilson Batch.

You could feel the excitement in the air after a day of amazing speakers and inspirational stories from the Women and Girls Foundation of Southwestern Pa.’s Crossroads Conference. One of the most diverse events I’ve #SEEN in Pittsburgh, the conference drew women of all ages, races, demographics and economic backgrounds to come together in a spirit of unity.
