RyKai Wright, Program Intern

Batch Headshot.jpg RyKai Wright serves as a Program Intern for Best of the Batch Foundation. As Program Intern, she serves as our volunteer coordinator, survey analyst, assists with program inventory, and is in charge of our “contact us” information mail. She has also assisted with grant writing for the Foundation and serves as the liaison for the scholarship committee. She was the recipient for our 2014 Danyl Settles scholarship and soon thereafter started as a volunteer for the Foundation. RyKai helps with programs and events such as, Day of Caring, Project C.H.U.C.K., BatchPacks, In The Pocket, and Batch A Toys. 

RyKai attends Community College of Allegheny County, majoring in Engineering Technology with plans on transferring to a four-year university to obtain a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. She serves as Co-President of Phi Theta Kappa, Alpha Iota Eta, at South Campus, Honors Ambassador for the Honors Program, and a Student Ambassador for the Ambassador Program at Allegheny Campus.

Additionally, RyKai has been honored to be selected as one of six students nationwide as an Achieving the Dream 2017 DREAM Scholar. Where she will have the opportunity to participate in a unique learning and professional development experience, culminating at the ATD annual DREAM conference on student success in San Francisco, CA in February 2017.

 RyKai graduated from Steel Valley High School with high honor roll, a 3.8 GPA, and was a part of the National Honors Society.

In her spare time, RyKai enjoys reading books and has interests in arts and crafts; drawing and painting. She also enjoys volunteering and community service to help better her neighborhood and the community for others.
