Community Activities:
Toys for Tots - The Best of the Batch Foundation hosts a Toys for Tots toy drive every December at the UPS Store-Waterfront. The toys are then distributed as Christmas gifts to children in need in the local community. In 2007, we reached our goal of collecting over 5,000 toys!

For more information on the program, please visit www.toysfortots.org.

West Field Revitalization Project - Charlie is leading the charge to transform a badly deteriorated, limited-use playing field, substandard bleacher seating, and antiquated lighting system into a state-of-the art athletic/educational facility. The grounds will be equipped with a little league baseball field, a soccer field featuring durable Field-Turf, a six-lane quarter-mile track, and upgraded amenities.

The adjacent recreational center will provide adaptable classrooms and educational forums outfitted with new computers, audio/video equipment and other technologies to serve both children and adults. Indoor athletic facilities will be available as well. In addition, the project will encourage physical fitness, community involvement, and create a new year-round "common-grounds" for area residents to enjoy.

NFL Pepsi Punt, Pass & Kick - Local host to one of the nations' most popular youth competitions. The NFL PUNT, PASS & KICK program creates a lively and engaging forum for boys and girls ages 8-15 to compete separately against their peers in punting, passing, and placekicking skills.

Midget Football League - Each year donations are made to the Steel Valley Midget Football Association to provide uniforms, equipment, and capital needs to operate boys football teams and girls cheerleading squads.

Community Clean Up - Programs designed to improve neighborhoods in appearance and citizen pride, such as trash pick-up, painting, park rehabilitation, and maintenance.

Adult Services - Providing career and educational assistance to adults, funding and event coordination for area senior citizens to enjoy time together and remain active within the community.
